ART001_Multi-fibers Indoor Breakout Tight Buffer Fiber Optical Cable

This kind of Multi-fiber indoor breakout tight buffer cables bundle multiple individually protected fibers into a single rugged jacket, enabling direct connectorization without fan-out kits. Available in fiber counts from 2 to 144 fibers, they are ideal for backbone and cross-connect applications requiring high-density, easy termination.

Key Design Variations

Subunit Design: Each fiber is enclosed in an individual protective subunit (typically 2.0 mm or 2.5 mm). ARTICFIBER uses standardized 2.5 mm subunits with numbered identification for quick, error-free fiber tracing, we also offers 2.0 mm simplex jackets for flexibility.

Outer Diameter Scaling: As fiber count increases, the overall cable diameter grows significantly. For example, a 4-fiber cable may be ~5.1–7.4 mm, while a 24-fiber cable ranges from ~9.3 to 14.4 mm depending on the design.

Jacket Rating Options: Fire safety ratings determine installation locations. Options include Riser (OFNR), Plenum (OFNP), and LSZH variants. ARTICFIBER's family provides Riser, LSZH Riser, and Plenum versions to suit any indoor application.

Products Overview

Multi-fiber breakout cables are well-suited for intra-building backbone cabling, connecting communication closets to equipment, and rugged cross-connect environments where direct termination and mechanical durability are priorities. The tight buffer construction allows each fiber to be connectorized directly in the field, saving installation time compared to loose-tube cables requiring splice trays.

When selecting a cable, confirm the fire rating required for your installation location (Riser vs. Plenum) and choose fiber type based on your network transmission requirements (OM3/OM4 for 10G, OS2 for long-distance single-mode).
