This cable is designed for outdoor aerial installation, meaning it is strung between poles or towers. The "All-Dielectric" part means it contains no metal components, making it ideal for installation on power utility lines as it is immune to electromagnetic interference. The "Self-Supporting" capability comes from high-strength materials like aramid yarn (often referred to by the brand name Kevlar) that are integrated into the cable's design, allowing it to bear its own weight and withstand environmental loads like wind and ice over long spans.
